Ebuka called their attention to the mistake and they

Stella Oduah hands over, list achievements as Aviation Minister

Princess Stella Oduah has formally handed over to the
Minister of State for Trade and Commerce, Dr Samuel
Ortom following her sack by the President last
Wednesday, February 12th.
In her speech, she thanked President Jonathan for
finding her worthy out of the 160million Nigerians
and also listed her achievements while she was
Minister. Excerpts from her speech below...
"It was a great privilege to be chosen from
amongst the 160million Nigerians to serve in the
Federal cabinet. My profound gratitude goes to
Mr President who gave me this rare privilege. I
also want to thank for him all the support he
accorded me to pursue his transformation
agenda in the Aviation sector. I equally wish to
thank my aides, aviation sector workers and
stake holders who partnered with me to realize
our vision & mission in the sector. During my
tenure, we gave our best to institute reforms in
line with Mr President's Transformation Agenda.
We produced the Aviation sector Master-plan
and implementation Road map. Using the
Masterplan and Roadmap, we were ably to...
-Reconstruct and Remodel all 22 federally-owned
airports across the country. We also commenced the
construction of Five International terminals in Lagos,
Abuja, Port Harcourt, Enugu and Kano.
-We also introduced the Perishable Cargo and
Aerotrolis concepts to drive the growth and
development of not only the aviation sector but also
the country while modalities have been completed to
kick-start the Aeropolis project.
-We also carried out institutional reforms, built the
capacity of NCAT to produce enough professionals for
both the local aviation market and for export.
-My greatest accomplishment comes from the safety
and security of the Nigerian Airspace. We were able
to procure,update and install safety-critical
infrastructure that has repositioned the sector to
achieve our objective of zero-accident rate in the
Nigerian Airspace" she said.

D'banj set to appear on Real Housewives of Atlanta as Kenya Moore's boyfriend?

According to MediaTakeOut, former Miss USA and
Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore, who
claims she's dating an Africa prince and was in Lagos
for Valentine, has hired D'banj to be her boyfriend in
the reality show reunion show. Find the report from
MTO below...
MediaTakeOut.com just received some extra
steaming hot tea surrounding Kenya, and the
upcoming Real Housewives reality show.
We spoke exclusively to a Bravo insider that told
us that Bravo has just set up taping for the
reunion everyone is scheduled to attend, each
lady and their husband.
And we're told that while Porsha does not have
a guest/husband, Kenya Moores will be bringing
a guest. Word is she wants to help secure her
spot for another season so she has in fact hired
an African prince.
According to another person close to Kenya, she
has contracted to bring in Nigerian singer D'Banj
to the reunion. And by "contracted" we mean a
business deal . . . she has hired him to pretend
to be her boyfriend. D'Banj is a popular singer
in Nigeria, and he and Kenya have done
appearances together before - but they are not
in any kind of relationship . . . and he did not
buy her any type of car.
According to our sources, Kenya promised D'Banj
$40K, plus promotion, to LIE on TV and pretend to be
her boyfriend. She even arranged it all through
D'Banj's BOOKING AGENT . . . they got PAPERWORK
and everything.
Now that this is out there . . . we WONDER what
NeNe is going to do with this LITTLE BIT of
information when she CONFRONTS KENYA at the
reunion show . . . LOLZ!!! We can't WAIT to see it all
unfold!!!

2women jailed for trafficking &making children beg with fake wounds

Two women have been arrested and jailed for
trafficking children and making them beg on the
streets of Lagos with fake wounds.
PM News reports
The Family Court 1 in Yaba Magistracy has jailed
two women for trafficking and using children to
beg for alms in Victoria Island area of Lagos.
The women, Amarachi Eke from Imo State and
Chioma Eze from Awka in Anambra State, were
arraigned at the court on Wednesday on a two-
count charge of using underaged children to beg
for alms. And they pleaded guilty to the charges.
Magistrate Y.O. Aje-Afunwa sentenced them to
two months imprisonment each; one month for
each count charge and they are also to pay a
fine of N5,000. The jail terms will run
concurrently.
In sentencing them, Aje-Afunwa said there was the
need for the convicts to learn some useful lessons in
prison and that since they were still young, they
should engage in something more productive rather
than using kids to beg on the street.
According to her, they have to learn the hard way in
prison not to engage in something bad in the society,
believing that the prison would transform their lives
for the better.
The two women were arrested at Ajose Adeogun
Street, Victoria Island recently while begging with two
kids, aged six and nine years. The stomach and legs
of the kids were plastered with ointment and wool to
give the impression that they were suffering from
serious burns to attract public sympathy.
An Environmentalist, Betty Albert, was driving by and
saw the gory sight of the nine-year old boy lying on
the ground and decided to assist the victim.
She parked her car and came out and told Chioma
that she should be allowed to take the boy to the
hospital.
On hearing this, Chioma asked the boy to run away
which he did, but unfortunately, he was caught by a
policeman who was on duty nearby.
The Environmentalist asked the policeman to chase
after the boy and he was caught and brought back to
the scene.
“I asked the boy whether something was wrong with
him and he said he was okay. I asked him whether I
could remove the plasters and wool on his stomach
and he said yes. So I removed them and found out
that the boy was alright.
“The boy told me that his younger brother was at Eko
Hotel with another woman also begging for alms and
that they should help him to get the boy. The boy
was brought with the other woman,” Betty explained.
The boy’s leg was also plastered with ointment and
wool to deceive people that he had been badly burnt
and needed help.
Investigation revealed that Chioma Eze, from
Anambra State, had gone to Awka and told the
children’s parents that she wanted to assist them
send the children to school in Lagos and she was
allowed to take them. But unknown to the parents,
their children were brought to beg for alms in Lagos.
Betty had been following the case for almost two
weeks to ensure justice was done.
The women were arrested by police from Bar Beach
Police Station, while the case was later transferred to
Adeniji Adele Police Station.
The case was again transferred to the State Criminal
Investigation Department, SCID, Panti, Yaba where it
was charged to court on Wednesday.
According to Betty, the in-law of one of the women
had been threatening her life because of the way she
had pursued the case, alleging that the in-law to
Chioma said he had marked her face and would
ensure that she was eliminated.
The Lagos State Office of Youth and Social
Department has been following the case and has
expressed disgust at the way the children were ill-
treated by the women.
Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth and Social
Development, Dr. Dolapo Badru, said it is lamentable
that Anambra State had continued to be a place
where people were brought to Lagos to beg for alms.
“How can these women be so callous to have brought
these children from Anambra State to beg for alms in
Lagos? They even make the children feign injury and
they don’t have homes in Lagos and now they will say
we are deporting their people. What we are saying is
that these are things the public won’t know,” he
stated.
He said Lagos “would not tolerate a situation where
Anambra State would continue to infest the state with
beggars and later cry wolf that we are deporting
people that have no homes to stay in the state.”
Badru vowed that the government would go after
such people using kids to solicit for alms, while
decrying the new strategy now being in used to
attract public sympathy, saying it is inhuman to treat
kids that way.
He said the punishment meted out to the women
would serve as deterrent to others who might want
to engage in such despicable act.

Ex NAICOM Chief sentenced to 15 years in prison for N10.4m fraud

Find the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other
Related Offences Commission ICPC press release
below...
Okechukwu Chukwulozie, a former
Commissioner of the National Insurance
Commission (NAICOM) yesterday began his
journey to Kuje Prison in Abuja to serve 15
years over N10.4 million fraud.
He was convicted last Wednesday at an Abuja
High Court on 5 counts charge for using private
interest to furnish his official residence and
demanding for a percentage in a contract he
awarded. Continue...

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other
Related Offences Commission(ICPC),in 2007
jointly charged Chukwulozie, his wife, Angela;
and a former Deputy Commissioner in charge of
Finance and Administration, Adedolapo Ogungbe
to court the N10.4 million fraud without option
of fine.
It was yesterday that Chief Chukwulozie began
his journey to Kuje prison from ICPC detention
cell as it was late yesterday to convey him to
Kuje after securing his conviction papers.
Delivering judgment, Justice Mudashiru Oniyangi,
said that the court sentenced Chukwulozie to
three years on each of the five counts he is
convicted for and it will run concurrently.
Oniyangi, held that the ICPC had proved all the
ingredients of Section 19 of the the ICPC Act
against him.

“The ICPC has proved beyond reasonable doubt
that a commissioner of NICON, Chukwulozie,
demanded fifty per cent of fees paid to
liquidators of Gateway Insurance Plc.
“Beyond reasonable doubt is the standard of
evidence required to validate a criminal
conviction. Generally the prosecution bears the
burden of proof and is required to prove their
case.
“The prosecution has presented to court
evidence to support its charges against the
convict.
“In this case, they have done so. The court
hereby sentences you to three years each on
each of the five counts level against you, which
will run concurrently.
However, Justice Oniyangi held that the ICPC
had failed to prove its case against the second
(Angela) and third accused (Ogungbe) persons.
“The court discharges the second and third
accused persons charged with aiding and
abetting the crime.

Policeman sentenced to death by hanging for killing 20yr old man

Justice has finally come the way of the family of slain
Emmanuel Victor (pictured above), a 20 year old
young man who was killed in front of his mother by a
trigger-happy Policeman, Mathew Egheghe, two years
ago in Yenogoa, Bayelsa state.
Victor was shot dead after he confronted a group of
policemen who were trying to extort money from
motorists as he was coming back from church.
Angered by his effrontery to question their action,
Policeman Egheghe moved close to Victor and shot
him at close range.
Narrating what happened, Victor's mother Grace, who
witnessed the incident said:
"They shot my son brutally. As he fell while they
were shooting him, the tallest of them still
continued shooting him on the ground". She said
she was harassed and stopped from going close
to her dying son even as he lay gasping for life
in the pool of his own blood.
Delivering his judgement on the case, Justice Lucky
Boufili said that such a cruel act was only punishable
by the maximum penalty which is death. He
sentenced Mathew Egheghe to death by Hanging. The
police has since dismissed Mathew Egheghe and his
two accomplices from the force.

Former Aston Villa footballer, Thomas Hitzlsperger, comes out as gay

31year former Aston Villa, Everton, West Ham &
German midfielder Thomas Hitzlsperger has come out
as gay. But he waited to retire from football before
revealing his sexual preference.
Hitzlsperger, who retired in September 2013 due to a
knee injury yesterday told a German newspaper
"I'm coming out about my homosexuality
because I want to move the discussion about
homosexuality among professional sportspeople
forwards. In England, Italy & Germany being a
homosexual is no big thing, at least not in the
dressing room"
"The awareness of being gay was a long and
difficult process. Only in recent years has it
dawned on me that I would prefer to live with
another man. I've never been ashamed of my
sexuality"
The first footballer to come out as gay is US footballer
Robbie Rogers who had to leave football after coming
out. Hitzlsperger was probably wise to wait to retire
before revealing this to the world.

Graduate commits suicide over woman in Ikorodu

According to a report by PM News, a graduate of
Architecture, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ogunsona
Daniel Adekunle Adebambo (pictured above)
committed suicide by hanging himself in an
uncompleted storey building yesterday January 1st
2014.
According to the report, the body of the 30 year old
man was found around 1 a.m. yesterday dangling
from a rope tied to the hook of a fan in an
uncompleted storey building at 1, Alice Ogunsona
Street, Hilltop Estate, Eruwen, Ikorodu. His body was
found by his younger brother after reading the
suicide not he wrote and left at their home.
Continue...
The deceased allegedly killed himself because his
girlfriend’s father refused to allow him marry his
daughter. According to the story, the girlfriend's
father, who is from Ondo state, said Bambo couldn't
marry his daughter because he's from Ijebu, Ogun
State. Some people do not believe that's the reason
he killed himself.
A resident of the Hilltop Estate who said he
participated in bringing down Adebambo’s body from
the ceiling, recalled that he was dead and stiff when
they brought him down. "When the family raised an
alarm and we came here, he was already foaming in
his mouth and his hand was clenched in a fist. This
signified that he struggled till he died,” he said.

Reuben Abati says Pres. Jonathan didn't travel to Kenya with 7 jets

So if it's not true, what seven jets did this Kenyan
lady see? It doesn't make sense to me that she'd lie
about something like this, especially during a press
conference to Channels TV and AIT. And she seems
likes a top Kenyan official. Well, if Reuben Abati says
it's not true, let's believe him. See more tweets after
